It's been another great year for "Walk Across Texas"  in Brazos County.

February 13th to April 10th.

We had 141 teams walk this year and although most of them made it all the way across Texas (834 miles) I heard of many teams that did that 2, 3, even 4 times! Collectively, we walked 203,831 miles.

First place in mileage went to the team known as "Road Kill Zombies" or "RKZ" for short. Unfortunately, a paperwork misinterpretation resulted in "Flitterific Fitness Fanatics" being recognized instead at the Celebration Event. We want to extend our sincerest apologies and recognize RKZ here. They got the trophies (and the year's worth of bragging rights) for walking 5241.8 miles!

With the launch of the new State web site, we shouldn't have to require double registration so things should go much smoother next year.

Pictures are available on the Kickoff, Recharge and Celebration pages.
