The Building Services Division is responsible for the issuance of permits for construction, vendors, solicitors, signs and garage sales. The Building Services Division also performs building inspections, both during construction/remodeling, and to determine whether structure are unsound and should be demolished.

Building Services Highlights
Starting in March 2006, permits will be required for the construction all new driveways and sidewalks. The permits are free. These permits must be obtained before pouring concrete for a driveway or sidewalk. Driveway and sidewalk permits will allow the City of track the construction of these important forms of infrastructure, and ensure these structures are constructed to appropriate standards.
