TO APPLY:   

Step 1) If you are interested in applying for the position of Firefighter, you must complete an online City of Bryan Application by the designated deadline.  Click here to view the description and to apply.  You will receive an online confirmation number upon successfully submitting your application. 

Step 2) Copies of your Firefighter Certification issued by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection and your EMT/Paramedic Certification issued by the Texas Dept of Health MUST be turned in at the time of application; otherwise your application will be considered incomplete. You may either attach a scanned copy of the certifications to your online application, drop it off in person, or fax it to 979-209-5099 (please confirm it was received if faxed).

** If you are currently enrolled in a course or courses for these certifications, you must submit a letter from the school stating your expected date of graduation.
 

Step 3) You must download the information packet which details the application process and provides directions to the testing site.  Click here to download the packet.

Step 4) For those with prior military service -  If you received an honorable discharge from the armed services of the United States, you must furnish a copy of your DD-214 Form by the application deadline in order to receive an additional five (5) points to your final score, should you pass the written examination.  DD-214 Forms will not be accepted at the testing site for the additional points.  You may either attach a scanned copy of the form to your online application, drop it off in person, or fax it to 979-209-5099 (please confirm it was received if faxed).
