Entrance Exam Information for Bryan Police Officer

The City of Bryan currently accepting applications for Police Officer.

Position: Police Officer

Exam Date: Saturday, August 22, 2015

Time: 9:00 AM (check in time is between 8:00-8:45 AM

(Note: Physical Agility Test will be immediately after written exam.)

To apply, you must complete the following steps:

Step 1: Download the applicant information packet by clicking on this link. This packet contains information on the Bryan Police Department and the application and hiring process, minimum standards and qualification for the position, salary information, a map to the testing site and a Personal History Statement (PHS) form. You must review this information and complete the PHS form included in this packet prior to the administration of the written exam on Saturday, August 22, 2015. The completed PHS must be turned in when you check in for the written exam. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from the testing process.

Step 2: You must complete an online City of Bryan Application by Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Click here to view the description and to apply. You will receive an online confirmation number upon successfully submitting your application.

Important: For those with prior military service – If you received an honorable discharge from the armed services of the United States, you must furnish a copy of your DD-214 Form by the application deadline in order to receive an additional five (5) points to your final score, should you pass the written examination. DD-214 Forms will not be accepted at the testing site for the additional points. You may either attach a scanned copy of your DD-214 to your online application, drop it off in person, fax it to 979-209-5059 (please confirm it was received if faxed) OR e-mail it. Written Exam Date: Friday, June 26, 2015

Time: 9:00 AM (check in time begins at 8:30 AM)

(Note: Physical Agility Test will be immediately after written exam.)

Step 2:
You must complete an online City of Bryan Application by Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Click here to view description and to apply.. You will receive an online confirmation number upon successfully submitting your application, and you will also receive a confirmation letter and exam study guide by mail.


The Bryan Fire Department wants to hire applicants who are certified as a Firefighter AND certified as a Paramedic. At the time of application, you must provide a copy of these certifications. You may attach these documents to your online application; OR you may e-mail the documents. Your application is considered incomplete until these documents are received.
