Pharmacy Robber Arrested
On Thursday November 4, 2010 at 1:56 am, the Bryan Police Department received a call of a robbery at the 24 hour Walgreens located at 3312 East 29th St. An employee of the store called emergency 911 and stated that a male suspect attempted to rob the pharmacist of medications. Bryan Police Officers responded to the scene and began to canvas the area. The suspect was described as white male carrying a large kitchen knife.
The suspect entered the store, jumped over the pharmacy counter, and demanded prescription narcotics. The medications were locked away for safe keeping and the suspect could not get them out. The suspect then fled the scene with no items. Police and Detectives began to process the crime scene while officers searched the area. There were no reported injuries from the robbery.
Minutes later, Bryan Police officers located a suspicious vehicle parked nearby with an unknown male lying in the vehicle. Officers contacted the male who matched the description of the robber. The suspect was placed under arrest for the aggravated robbery.
The arrested suspect is Kevin Ringo, a 26 year old male from College Station. He is currently in the Brazos County jail being held on a $40,000 bond. Kevin Ringo is also suspected in a similar aggravated robbery that is currently under investigation.
