On December 15th, 2010 at 8:56 am, the Bryan Police Department responded to the 600 block of North Harvey Mitchell Parkway (FM 2818) and Verde Dr. for a traffic accident. Constable Agustin Rubio with Precinct 2 Brazos County, radioed to Brazos County 911 that he was involved in an accident and needed some assistance.
Bryan Police Officers arrived on the scene to investigate the accident. Constable Rubio was on duty operating a marked Constable vehicle, a Dodge Charger, when he was struck by a motorist traveling the wrong direction on a one way street. Both vehicles were towed due to damages. Both the driver of the Chevrolet and Constable Rubio were transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
