Month-long street closure starts Wednesday

Beginning Wednesday, January 19th, at 7 a.m. Commerce Street will be closed to all traffic from the creek just south of Oliver Street to an area just south of Lee Street. Commerce Street will be closed for approximately one month, with a scheduled re-opening on Friday, February 18.

The closure is necessary so the contractor for The City of Bryan can remove and replace old storm-sewer infrastructure currently running down Commerce Street.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid this area completely during this time and to take Palasota Drive to the west if possible. Local traffic will be allowed to use Holt Street as a detour.
