Bryan Fire Department honors employees at banquet
Bryan Fire Department employees were recently honored at the 2010 Employee Recognition Banquet at Briarcrest Country Club. Fire Department staff members were recognized for years of service and the Employee of the Year was honored.
Firefighter/Paramedic Mike Richardson was named Employee of the Year. Richardson (attached picture with Chief Mike Donoho) has been employed at the Bryan Fire Department since 2006 and was the driving force in the development of the Department’s animal rescue program. He also volunteered to become trained in self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) repair and helps in maintaining and repairing the Fire Department’s apparatuses.
Richardson also serves as an instructor at the Department’s Citizen’s Fire Academy, and has helped teach in several BFD new recruit orientation academies. Richardson is also an assistant chief in the Brazos County District 2 volunteer fire department.
