Villa Maria road work begins Monday
Knife River, a contractor for the City of Bryan, is scheduled to begin work on an asphalt overlay project on Villa Maria Road, between William J. Bryan Parkway and Briarcrest Drive, on Monday, May 23rd.
Work will begin on the inside lanes diverting traffic to one lane each direction along the outside lanes. All lanes will be milled to provide a smooth transition for the asphalt overlay which will follow. Once the inside lanes are complete, traffic will be switched to the new lanes and work on the outside lanes will proceed. When the pavement is complete permanent striping will be replaced.
Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling in this area, and to obey all traffic control devices.
This work is part of Bryan’s $3.5 million annual street maintenance contract and is scheduled to complete by mid-June.
