City of Bryan Communications honored at statewide conference
The City of Bryan’s Communications & Marketing Department received three awards at last week’s Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) Conference in Frisco, Texas.
Bryan received recognition for the “Tall Grass and Weeds” television public service announcement. The entry placed first, and won a TAMI award, in the PSA Category among other cities with a population below 100,000. The City of Bryan also received 2nd place honors among all Texas cities for the production of the City’s annual water quality report calendar. The 2010-2011 version, entitled “The Evolution of Water,” can be viewed here.
The third award was a 3rd place finish for the television show Bryan Living & Learning, produced by the City of Bryan and Bryan ISD. The popular show, featuring the latest news and events at the City of Bryan and the school district, has received TAMIO recognition three consecutive years – winning 1st place in 2009 and 2010.

Since 2009, TAMIO has recognized the City of Bryan’s Communications & Marketing Department with 10 awards for their excellence in municipal communications and marketing. Among those awards are seven first-place, TAMI honors.
