Bryan to wrap up Park & Recreation Month with free concert
The City of Bryan Parks and Recreation Department is concluding their participation in National Park and Recreation Month in July with a free “Rock Your Park” concert on Friday, July 29th at Sue Haswell Park featuring the Rock-a-fellas.
Since 1985, Americans have celebrated Park and Recreation Month during the month of July to promote the importance of parks and recreation in establishing and maintaining healthy lifestyles and communities.
During the month, Bryan’s Parks and Recreation Department has been hosting a scavenger hunt on their Facebook page, revealing hints to City of Bryan parks or facilities. Participants figured out the clues and posted a photo of themselves at the location and uploaded it to the City’s website at this page. Participants in the scavenger hunt game will be eligible for prizes at the Rock-a-fellas concert.
The concert will be held at the gazebo in Sue Haswell Park, on Friday, July 29 at 7:00 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring portable chairs and/or blankets for seating. Coolers will be allowed in the park, but please, no glass bottles.
Help us “Rock Your Park” at Sue Haswell Park on Friday, with the Rock-a-fellas!
