Communications Department honored with national award
The City of Bryan Communications & Marketing Department was honored by the City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) with a “Savvy award” – signifying first place, during 3CMA’s annual conference in Austin on September 8.
Bryan was honored for their promotional video entitled “The Good Life Texas Style”. The video placed first in the nation, competing against cities, counties, agencies or districts with a population between 71,000 and 182,000. Cabarrus County, North Carolina was second and Miami Beach, Florida received third in the same category.
The judges had the following to say about Bryan’s video:
“Very nice production value that gave the viewer a great view of Bryan without overdoing the sell. Smooth transitions allowed for seamless storytelling of what the town has to offer. We may pay Bryan a visit just for the view after our stay in Austin!”
“The Good Life Texas Style” video was launched in Spring 2011 to market Bryan to potential businesses and families. The 6-minute video touches on various amenities in Bryan, including: low utility rates, senior living, recreation options, many special events, a great education system, a historic downtown, and much more.
