Mr. Bruggman works for the City of Bryan as the Communications & Marketing Specialist, and has assisted with the Communications Director duties during the interim period. Prior to joining the City of Bryan, Mr. Bruggman was a local reporter and photographer for the KRHD/KXXV-TV. He has a Broadcast Journalism degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
For about seven years, Mr. Murphy has been the News Director for Bryan Broadcasting; he also served as the News Director for Gray Television for over two years. Besides currently serving as the News Director at Bryan Broadcasting, Mr. Murphy is the voice at Texas A&M Men’s Basketball games and Bryan High School Football games. He has a degree from Texas A&M University in Journalism.
Bryan City Manager David Watkins states, “I am pleased with the high quality of applicants we received for the Communications Director position.” “While narrowing the field to three finalists was difficult, it will be even more challenging to make a final selection because the three finalists are outstanding individuals and each offer special and unique qualities.” “We have a terrific team in the City of Bryan Communications and Marketing Department, and I am confident that each of these individuals would be able to move the department to even greater heights.”
