Villa Maria Road Lane Closure Continues This Week
Texas A&M University project expected to finish this week
The Texas A&M University Physical Plant continues work this week at the intersection of Villa Maria Road and Harvey Mitchell Parkway to replace a water line and repair the pavement.
The work began in August to repair a water line on the east side of the intersection.
After this work was complete, the contractor experienced problems with the pavement, which has now required the closures of the eastbound right lane on Villa Maria on the west side of the intersection, as well as the northbound right-turn lane on Harvey Mitchell on the south side of the intersection.
Work began Tuesday to repair the pavement. Texas A&M officials expect this work to be completed by Friday, Sept. 5, and for all lanes to be open by Sept. 8.
Motorists are encouraged to proceed through this work zone with caution and to allow for extra time due to the delays.
