Bryan PD Makes Marijuana Bust
On December 11, 2008, the Bryan Police Department’s Directed Deployment Team (DDT), Drug Enforcement Team (DET), and the Neighborhood Enforcement Team (NET) conducted a search warrant at 2541 Manchester. While the search was being conducted, the Bryan Police Department was able to locate marijuana and the equipment that the resident used to grow and harvest marijuana inside of the home. The marijuana was being grown in a room that was dedicated solely to the growing of marijuana. There were vents for the heat from the lamps, used for the lighting the plants, and also a portable air conditioner that was used just for this room. The water that was used for the plants went through a four stage filtering system. There were also various chemicals there for fertilizing the plants. The attic had extra insulation in it over the bedroom that the marijuana grow was set up in.
