Coulter Drive reconstruction to start Friday
Coulter Drive from 29th Street to Burt Street will be closed for about four weeks, beginning Friday, Jan. 16, while a contractor works to rehabilitate the thoroughfare.
Brazos Valley Services is contracting with the City of Bryan to rehabilitate Coulter Drive between 29th Street and William Joel Bryan Parkway, and has been working on the area between 25th Street and WJB since November. Starting Friday, the block of Coulter from 29th Street to Burt Street will be added to the construction zone.
The closure is scheduled to last four weeks, depending on weather, and consists of removal and replacement of the concrete pavement. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes. Those who must access this portion of Coulter will be directed by detour signs down Dodge and Burt streets.
The $1.1 million Coulter Drive rehabilitation project is scheduled to be complete in August.
