Bryan residents encouraged to recycle at Farmers Market
The Brazos Valley Farmers' Market is now accepting reusable food packaging items, such as empty egg cartons, glass jars, paper and plastic bags, rubber bands, twine, plastic berry boxes and fabric remnants. Many vendors offer discounted prices to those who bring in reusable items.
The effort is supported by the City of Bryan. The City’s recycling center accepts glass jars but not the other reusable items that can be donated at the Farmers’ Market.
The Brazos Valley Farmers' Market offers a year-round market on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon in the Brazos Valley Health Department parking lot. Two spring-summer markets are offered from 4 to 7 p.m. Mondays at the Village Foods Shopping Center in Bryan and Wednesdays at College Station Central Park.
