Bryan's communications staff wins 4 trophies at national conference
The City of Bryan’s Communications staff will bring home four awards from the national City-County Communications and Marketing Association conference in Scottsdale, Ariz., this week.
At an awards luncheon on Thursday, the City’s “Help Bryan – Potholes” Public Service Announcement was honored with the Silver Circle Award for TV and Video. Another Silver Circle Award was presented in the Service Delivery category for the City’s “Help Bryan” marketing campaign.
Awards of Excellence were presented to the City of Bryan for the 2008 “Swirling Drain” water calendar and the “Buzz’s Big Tour” environmental DVD.
Bryan’s Communications and Marketing staff has won a total of nine local, state and national awards in the past year.
“I am so proud of our team,” said Communications Director April Saginor. “Allen Bruggman, Shawn Eyre, Shawn Smith and Craig Weaver have shown real dedication to getting the word out about all the great things we’re doing in the City of Bryan. It’s an honor to be recognized on a national level for the hard work they do every day.”
More than 650 entries from across the country were competing in more than 100 categories at the national conference.
