City releases comprehensive plan progress report
Bryan officials recently released a document to update citizens on the progress made in the Comprehensive Plan, which serves as a road map for growth and development.
Sixteen issues were identified by a citizen committee, staff and council members in 2007 to be addressed in the comprehensive plan. Some of those issues are Downtown Bryan, community appearance, neighborhood redevelopment, proactive code enforcement, parks and recreation and the South College master plan.
The progress report addresses the City’s plans for maintaining systems, implementing improvements and taking a proactive approach to meeting the goals identified when the Comprehensive Plan was adopted in 2007.
“We are proud to announce that a lot of work has been done over the past two years to address the needs identified by our citizens,” said Lindsey Guindi, assistant director of development services. “We want to share that information with the public so they can see their feedback in action.”
A copy of the report is online at www.bryantx.gov.
