Bryan Police use latest technology to alert citizens
The Bryan Police Department is proud to announce that it is launching a new Community Information Service designed to deliver important and timely information to residents in our community using the latest technology.
The service was created by Nixle, LLC. Nixle delivers trustworthy and important neighborhood-level public safety and community event notification by web, e-mail, and cell phone.
Nixle is completely free to both the City of Bryan and the residents. It is simple to use and on a secure and trusted system. Nixle is similar to Texas A&M University’s Code Maroon system that alerts students of potential threats.
Nixle is a community information service that alerts you to public safety threats, traffic issues and community events via web, e-mail, and cell phone. Residents are encouraged to register now and learn more at www.nixle.com.
Bryan residents can also go to www.bryantxpolice.com and click on the Nixle logo in the upper left hand corner.
Nixle is a community information service provider built exclusively to provide secure and reliable communications. Its authenticated service connects municipal agencies and community organizations to residents in real time, delivering information to geographically targeted consumers over their cell phones (via text messages), through e-mails and through Web access. Nixle is offered at no cost to all governments, their agencies and organizations, nongovernmental organizations and consumers.
