Road closure planned Wednesday through Friday

Beginning Wednesday, Dec., 2, at 7 a.m., Carson Street will be closed from Cavitt Avenue to South College Avenue. There will be no vehicular access allowed onto this section of Carson.

Work is expected to continue through Friday, Dec. 4, at 6 p.m.

The closure is necessary so the City of Bryan’s contractor can install an 8-inch water line on Echols Street and relocate the existing 18-inch water line running down Carson Street. This is part of the Echols Street and Water Line capital improvements project.

Motorists traveling down Carson Street should follow a detour route that will be marked with signs, directing them to use Duncan Street, one block north. If possible, motorists should avoid the area.
