Bryan Municipal Court participates in Warrant Roundup
A press conference is planned for 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at the Bryan Justice Center, to announce Bryan Municipal Courtís participation in the Great State of Texas Warrant Roundup this spring.
Residents can come in to resolve their cases beginning Feb. 22. Outstanding cases that have been remitted to the courtís collection agency (McCreary, Veselka, Bragg and Allen) will not be eligible to have the warrant fee waived, even if the cases are paid in full.
Cases that have been remitted to the collection agency have an additional 30 percent fee added to the balance of the amount due. If the case has not been remitted to collections, it will be eligible to have the warrant fee waived only if the cases are paid in full.
The actual warrant roundup runs from Saturday, March 6, through Saturday, March 20. Court officials will be actively seeking to arrest individuals at home, work and school.
No personal checks will be accepted for payment of outstanding cases in warrant status. Cash, cashierís checks, money orders or credit cards (MasterCard, Visa or Discover) are acceptable if presented by the card holder.
