Great State of Texas Warrant Roundup
The Bryan Police Department and the Bryan Municipal Court will like to advise the citizens of Bryan that they will be participating in the “Great Texas Warrant Roundup” on March 6, 2010 through March 20, 2010. The “Great Texas Warrant Roundup” is a massive, coordinated effort involving The Bryan Police Department, Bryan Marshal’s Office, other local law enforcement agencies and more than 250 other cities across the State of Texas. Officers will be looking for individuals that have active warrants at their residence or workplace and during any hours of the day or night.
The purpose and goal of the Warrant Roundup is to clear outstanding Class C misdemeanor warrants in the City of Bryan. Many of these warrants are traffic related citations that the violator did not follow up on. Though the concentration is on Class C charges, other warrants may also be served, and they will be executed at all hours and at any location.
The Bryan Police Department urges anyone with outstanding citations, especially those in warrant status, to come in and address their business with the Court as soon as possible. Don’t take a chance on being arrested. If you believe that you have an active warrant, please contact the Bryan Municipal Court at 979-209-5400.
Efforts to gain compliance with the law will not end with the warrant roundup. The Bryan Police Department and the Bryan Marshal’s Office will actively continue to serve warrants and make arrests. Some individuals might even find it difficult to renew their driver’s license if they have outstanding traffic tickets or warrants as Bryan Municipal Court participates in the Texas Department of Public Safety Fail to Appear Program. This program allows Courts to flag a person’s name which prohibits a person from renewing or obtaining a Texas driver’s license until all outstanding cases are resolved.
If you have received a citation, do not ignore it. Contact the Bryan Municipal Court at 979-209-5400. The Bryan Municipal Court is located that the Bryan Justice Center and the address is 401 South Tabor Ave, Bryan, TX.
