Volunteers needed for Texas Reds
Several volunteer opportunities are available for the fourth annual Texas Reds Steak and Grape Festival, scheduled for June 18-19 in Historic Downtown Bryan.
Groups are needed to work in ticket and soda booths and as greeters, set up crew, tear down crew, parking lot attendants and more. Wine servers also are needed and must be TABC certified. The City of Bryan will pay for participants to get the TABC certification and will offer courses in person and online.
For a group to earn “scholarship” money, it would need to contribute a total of 50 hours of work during the festival. That can be divided up however is best for the group. For example, five people can each work 10 hours or 10 people can each work five hours.
For groups that reach the 50-hour mark, the City of Bryan will contribute $500 to the organization. Groups that work more than 50 hours can earn an additional $10 per hour toward the scholarship for their organization.
