Communications programs honored at state conference
Bryan’s Communications and Marketing team was honored Friday with four awards by the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers.
The City’s biweekly television show, Bryan Living and Learning, won first place for a recurring program. The show is a partnership with the Bryan Independent School District.
Also taking home first place in the cable PSA category was a 30-second commercial advertising a free compost giveaway event.
Bryan’s popular Water Quality Report calendar was a second-place winner at the state conference.
The City’s “Frank and Doug” commercial series featuring Environmental Services employees learning how to properly dispose of fats, oils, grease and household items took home third place in the “Most Creative with Least Dollars” marketing campaign category.
Winners were announced during a luncheon Friday at the annual TAMIO conference in San Marcos. Judges received more than 140 entries from municipalities across Texas.
April Saginor leads the Communications Department, which includes Communications Specialist Allen Bruggman, Video Production Specialist Shawn Eyre, Webmaster Shawn Smith and Video Production Specialist Craig Weaver.
