Police Investigate Deceased Toddler
On September 15, 2010 at 0850 hours, Bryan Police and Bryan Fire Departments responded to a possible deceased call in the parking lot of Jack in the Box at 2906 S. Texas Ave. The caller called Brazos County 911 and informed the dispatchers that they were enroute in a vehicle to the hospital with a non-responsive child. Dispatchers informed the caller to pull over as soon as possible so that medics could be dispatched to assist. The caller pulled over in the Jack in the Box parking lot.
Bryan Fire and Police arrived on scene and the child, a 21 month old male, was non-responsive and not breathing. The child was later pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Mike McCleary.
This is an ongoing investigation, Police and Detectives are investigating the death to determine the cause. An autopsy has been ordered by the Justice of the Peace. The incident originated in the 300 block of Ehlinger St.
The name of the deceased is not being released at this time.
