Lane Closures on Highway 6 and Temporary Closure of MLK/Old Reliance Bridge
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On Saturday, September 18, 2010, beginning at 8:00 p.m., the Texas Department of Transportationís (TxDOT) contractor will temporarily close the MLK/Old Reliance Bridge in order to complete the construction of a new concrete bridge deck. SH 6 northbound and southbound mainlanes between FM 158 and SH 21 will have alternate lane closures in conjunction with this work.
All work operations are scheduled to be completed by 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 19, with all lane closures removed from the SH 6 mainlanes. The MLK/Old Reliance Bridge will reopen to traffic on Monday morning, September 20, 2010 at 6:00 a.m.
These closures are part of the $4.2 million SH 6 MLK/Old Reliance underpass project contracted to W.W. Webber, LLC.
