Police Investigate Shooting at Residence
On September 26, 2010 at 9:00 pm, the Bryan Police Department responded to a shots fired call in the 300 block of Bluegrass St. It was reported that a known suspect male drove to the location, got out of his vehicle, and approached the residence. The suspect then fired multiple shots into the occupied residence and a parked vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene in his vehicle.
The Criminal Investigation Division responded to the crime scene. The investigation revealed that one victim in the house was hit in the face by flying debris and a second victim received minor abrasions on the leg from birdshot. The first victim received medical treatment for the facial injuries and the second victim refused medical treatment. Both victims sustained non-life threatening injuries. The residence and the parked vehicle sustained minor damage from gunfire.
The suspect in the investigation was later located by police. He has been identified and questioned by officers. The suspect vehicle has been secured and processed for evidence. The case evidence is being presented to the District Attorney’s office for the appropriate charges to be filed.
