Water Services wins $20,000 of equipment from national contest
Hach Company, a leader in water quality testing and laboratory sales, announced the City of Bryan’s Water Services Department as 2nd place in its “See the BIG Picture Contest” at this year’s Weftec Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The "See the BIG Picture" contest was designed to help municipal wastewater treatment plants understand the benefits of increasing nutrient monitoring. Through frequent monitoring, facilities can adjust chemical dosing or aeration to reflect real-time situations, thereby decreasing chemical and energy costs.
As the 2nd place winner the City of Bryan’s Water Services Department was awarded $20,000 in laboratory equipment and supplies from Hach Company. The award money will be used to replace equipment in the city’s laboratory and wastewater plants, and implement real-time data monitoring for wastewater process controls.
