Draft Plan Presented to Bryan City Council during Workshop Meeting on May 15, 2018
Deadline for Comments is May 25, 2018
The City of Bryan is in the final stages of the five-year update to the Flood Mitigation Plan that is required in order to participate in the Community Rating System administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
A draft of the newly-updated Flood Mitigation Plan was presented to the Bryan City Council during its Workshop Meeting on May 15, 2018, and will be scheduled for adoption consideration by the Council at a meeting in June 2018.
The public is encouraged to look over the draft of the updated plan, and submit feedback via our online comment form.
During the earlier stages of the update process, the City of Bryan collected data from residents and businesses to complete specific flooding histories, gathered information through an online survey, and held six public meetings and three public input meetings since Feb. 1, 2018, to gain insight into residents’ concerns so we could better tailor the draft of the new Flood Mitigation Plan.
