“Search and Rescue in Community Disasters” is being offered to all Bryan residents to help them prepare for the possibility of a disaster event.
On Friday, December 1, 2017, the Clara B. Mounce Public Library will host the 4th Annual Tuba Christmas celebration during the December First Friday celebration in historic Downtown Bryan. The performance will begin at 7 PM in front of the Carnegie History Center located at 111 South Main Street in Bryan.

We invite all baritone, euphonium, and tuba players to join us in presenting a unique performance of traditional Christmas music in downtown Bryan. This year’s guest director is Mr. James George Hejl, a member of the Texas Bandmasters Hall of Fame, with career experience at both the high school and the collegiate levels. To participate in the concert, please note the following schedule:
Friday, December 1st:
5:30 PM – Free Registration at Clara B. Mounce Public Library – 201 E. 26th Street (sponsored by the Friends of the Library)
6 PM – Rehearsal at the Clara B. Mounce Public Library
7 PM – Christmas concert in front of the Carnegie History Center – 111 S. Main Street
If you plan to participate, please bring a music stand and a stand light if you have one available. Participants are also encouraged to decorate their instrument (and yourself!) with tinsel and lights, if desired. Chairs and music will be provided!
The Christmas music that will be featured at the concert will also be available for purchase. A standard book (6”x 8.5”) is $16 per copy and the enlarged format book (8.5” x 11”) is $21 per copy.
