Roof Repairs: Make Sure Your Contractor Does the Job Right
Don’t get stuck with shoddy roof repairs, or get scammed by an unethical contractor. Here’s info you need so you can find a reputable contractor and insure the repair work is done right.
To assist taxpayers with the process of filing personal income tax, the Bryan+College Station Library System has partnered with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program again this year to provide locations where taxpayers can access free personal tax preparation support. Trained volunteers will be available at Clara B. Mounce and Larry J. Ringer Public Libraries from February 1, 2018 through April 17, 2018 as part of the nation’s largest volunteer-run free tax preparation program.
Volunteers will be at each library to assist taxpayers with completing basic personal federal income tax forms. To receive assistance, please bring a valid form of identification, social security card or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) for everyone listed on the tax return, and last year’s tax return. Please note, social security cards or ITINs are required for the taxpayer and everyone listed on the tax return. Assistance is provided in-person on a first come, first served basis. While this program is intended primarily for low to moderate income individuals and families, a taxpayer seeking guidance with their personal income tax return will not be turned away.
The library staff will also print tax forms (except for multi-part forms) directly from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website at the rate of $0.10 per page. A double-sided form, such as the Form 1040, would cost $0.20. Taxpayers may visit the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website for current tax information, to print tax filing forms for individual taxpayers, and for information on e-filing. Please note the libraries will not have any free printed forms, individual or business/employer, available.
The libraries will not have business or employer forms such as the W-2 or 1099. If you are in need of business or employer forms, these may be ordered online at the IRS website or over the phone by calling 1-800-829-3676. While multi-part forms cannot be printed from the IRS website, they can be ordered at no cost from the IRS website or purchased at office supply stores. Tax product requests will be mailed directly to you at no cost.
