Over the next few months, community members have the opportunity to help identify the types of services needed in Bryan through the 5-Year Consolidated Plan Community Needs Assessment for the city’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership (HOME) programs.
Do you have a beloved veteran that you’d like to honor? Consider adding their name to the Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial (BVVM) Wall of Honor this year.
The Wall of Honor is a 250-ton red granite memorial that sits within the Louis L. Adam Memorial Plaza at Veterans Park in College Station. It bears the etched names of more than 5,000 veterans representing all periods of U.S. history who are family and friends of Brazos Valley residents.
BVVM is accepting new additions to the Wall of Honor this year. The veteran whose name is being added may be living or deceased and does not have to be a Brazos Valley resident. Cost is $150 per name, and the application deadline is Aug. 15, 2019.
Names received by Aug. 15 will be etched on the wall and read during the Honor Wall Roll Call during the Veterans Day Ceremony on Nov. 11, 2019.
