The Board of Directors of Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) voted to extend a rate-reduction measure, which was originally set to expire at the end of May. The reduction of the power supply adjustment by one-half will result in an approximate 15% reduction in electric costs for customers.
The City of Bryan Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC) will host a regular meeting on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at 6 PM in the Basement Training Room of the City of Bryan Municipal Office Building. The agenda consists of a discussion of ongoing projects by the City’s Community Development Department and the public is invited and encouraged to attend.

CDAC and the City’s Community Development Office administer the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME). The City will receive $823,293 in CDBG funds and $343,707 in HOME funds for the 2018-19 Program Year. Partnering with local providers, these grants provide funds for eligible activities addressing local needs and priorities. Programs and projects are evaluated and funded in accordance with grant regulations and the city’s current 5-year Consolidated Plan.
