Brian and Amanda Light have transformed the historic Downtown Bryan Ice House from a vacant building into a lively, bustling farm-to-table restaurant that has become a go-to spot for entertainment. That’s why the Lights, owners of Ronin Restaurant, were honored with the 2019 Mayor’s Downtown Impact Award.
On Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29, 2019, the City of Bryan Municipal Office building and all other City administrative offices will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday and will resume normal operating hours on Monday, Dec. 2.
The following offices will also be closed:
- Bryan Animal Center
- Community Development Office
- Coulter Field
- Parks and Recreation Office
- Neal Recreation Center
- Recycling Center
Bryan Municipal Court
Bryan Municipal Court will be closed Nov. 28 and Nov. 29. Any documents or payments due to the Court those days will only be accepted on Dec. 2.
Solid Waste and Brush/Bulky Pick-Up
There will be no solid waste residential service on Nov. 28. Residents with a regular collection day of Thursday will be serviced on Nov. 29.
There will be no brush & bulky service on Nov. 28. Thursday’s route will be serviced on Saturday, Nov. 30.
Bryan+College Station Library System
All libraries will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27 and remain closed for the remainder of the week and weekend. Libraries will resume normal operating hours on Dec. 2.
Public Works Call Center
The Public Works Call Center will be closed Nov. 28 and 29 and will resume normal operating hours on Dec. 2. Residents with traffic, water, sewer, or utility needs may call 979.822.3777 for after-hours assistance.
Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU)
The BTU main office and payment drive-thru will be closed on will be closed Nov. 28 and Nov. 29 and will resume normal operating hours on Dec. 2. To make a bill payment, please visit one of the kiosks at any of the following locations (please note, these locations may have separate holiday hours):
- H-E-B, Texas Avenue and State Highway 21
- H-E-B, 725 E. Villa Maria Road
- BTU office drive-through, 205 E. 28th St. (open 24 hours)
