The Board of Directors of Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) voted to extend a rate-reduction measure, which was originally set to expire at the end of May. The reduction of the power supply adjustment by one-half will result in an approximate 15% reduction in electric costs for customers.
In an effort to support both small businesses and residents in our community who have been affected by the COVID-19 response, the City of Bryan is hosting its second free drive-through lunch event on Friday, April 17, 2020 beginning at 11:30 a.m.
1,000 meals will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. This event is drive-through only. Residents wishing to receive meals must be in vehicles (no walk-ups will be served). Up to two individually packaged meals will be provided to each vehicle.
Meals are from Bryan restaurants, including All the Kings Men, Caffé Capri, Casa Rodriguez, Chicken Oil Company, Madden’s and Ronin Farm & Restaurant.
The event will be held in the parking lot of the Brazos Center, 3232 Briarcrest Drive. Gates will open at 11 a.m., and vehicles should enter from Briarcrest Drive and follow directions. Service begins at 11:30 a.m.
