City offices closed for winter holidays

Bryan city administrative offices will be closed in observance of the Christmas holiday on Monday, Dec. 23, Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019. The city will resume normal operating hours on Thursday, Dec. 26.

City offices will again be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020 in observance of New Year’s Day and will resume normal operating hours on Thursday, Jan. 2.

This includes:

  • Municipal Office Building
  • Community Development Office
  • Coulter Field
  • Parks & Recreation Office
  • Recycling Center

Other city offices have altered hours for the holiday as follows:

Bryan Municipal Court

The Bryan Municipal Court will be closed Dec. 23 through Dec. 25. Any documents or payments due to the Court those days will only be accepted on Dec. 26.

The Bryan Municipal Court will be closed Jan. 1. Any documents or payments due to the Court on this day will only be accepted on Jan. 2.

Solid Waste and Brush/Bulky Pick-Up

On Dec. 23 and Dec. 24, residential solid waste service and brush/bulky pick-up will run a normal schedule.

On Dec. 25, there will be no solid waste residential service or brush/bulky pick-up. Wednesday’s route will be collected on Friday, Dec. 27, and brush/bulky items will be collected on Saturday, Dec. 28.

On Dec. 26, residential solid waste service and brush/bulky pick-up will run a normal schedule.

On Jan. 1, there will be no solid waste residential service or brush/bulky pick-up. Wednesday’s residential route will be collected on Friday, Jan. 3, and brush/bulky will be collected on Saturday, Jan. 4.

The Bryan Recycling Center will be closed Dec. 23, Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

Please note: crews will collect Christmas trees during brush/bulky pick-up service. All decorations must be removed prior to pick-up.

Public Works Call Center

The Public Works Call Center will be closed Dec. 23, Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Residents with emergency traffic, water, sewer or utility needs may call 979.822.3777 for after-hours assistance.

Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU)

The BTU main office and payment drive-through will be closed Dec. 23, Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. To make a bill payment, please visit one of the kiosks at any of the following locations (please note, these locations may have separate holiday hours):

  • H-E-B, Texas Avenue and State Highway 21
  • H-E-B, 725 E. Villa Maria Road
  • BTU office automated drive-through, 205 E. 28th St. (open 24 hours)

You may also pay via phone through the automated e-payment option by calling 979.821.5700 or online at btutilities.com.

Bryan Animal Center

The Bryan Animal Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 23. It will be closed on Dec. 24 and Dec. 25. The Animal Center will reopen for normal hours on Dec. 26.

The Animal Center will be closed on Jan. 1 and reopen for normal hours on Jan. 2.

City Course at the Phillips Event Center

The City Course at the Phillips Event Center will be open normal hours on Dec. 23. Hours on Dec. 24 will be 7 a.m. to noon. The course will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

Bryan + College Station Library System

All three libraries – the Carnegie History Center, Clara B. Mounce Public Library and Larry J. Ringer Public Library – will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20. They will reopen for their regular hours on Dec. 26.

The libraries will also close at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31 and reopen for their regular hours on Thursday, Jan. 2.

Neal Recreation Center

Neal Rec Center will be closed Dec. 24 through Dec. 27. It will reopen normal hours on Dec. 28. It will also be closed on Jan. 1.
