Dr. Linda Ponder, author of the cookbook “Aunt Linda’s Lovin’ Oven,” will share her tips on how to convert traditional family recipes into healthier options this Saturday, September 9th, at 10 AM at the Clara B. Mounce Public Library. Dr. Ponder will discuss how you can modify your favorite recipes so that family members who have cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and other health challenges can still enjoy them.

Linda has a PhD in Health Education from Texas A&M University and invites you to bring a copy of your favorite recipes for a makeover consultation. Linda shares, “My degree in health education lets me prescribe 2 warm cookies and a glass of milk as stress relievers! We can adapt those cookies to a variety of dietary needs.” Samples will be served and she will also have copies of her cookbook available for purchase.
