
New Baseball Franchise Coming to Travis Major Field
The Bryan City Council has approved a rental agreement with Ventura Sports Group to bring a Mid America League Baseball (MALB) franchise to Travis Major Field beginning in 2026.
The City of Bryan has recently completed several exciting park improvement projects, including:
Castle Heights Park’s basketball court is game-ready with a new surface and goals.

Claude Scurry Park’s basketball court now features repaired concrete, a fresh surface, new goals and LED lights.

Copperfield Park’s tennis courts were upgraded with a resurfacing, pickleball lines and new net posts.

At Neal Park, the former roller hockey rink has been converted into three pickleball courts and a fitness zone with six workout stations.

Lights are on daily at these parks from 5-8 a.m. and 6-11 p.m.
