After gathering input over the last 10 months from residents, business owners and other stakeholders, the City of Bryan is hosting an open house on Aug. 7 to solicit feedback on draft plans for the Midtown area.
Each year, the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) holds the Games of Texas, an annual Olympic-style competition that brings thousands of athletes and spectators to the host city. Events include archery, boxing, golf, judo, pickleball, sand volleyball, skateboarding, soccer, tennis, swimming, and track & field. In collaboration with the City of College Station and Texas A&M University, City of Bryan staff and facilities will be utilized to help facilitate the state’s largest amateur sporting event.
The Bryan Aquatic Center as well as the Sadie Thomas, Henderson Harbor, and Sue Haswell pools will be closed Thursday, July 26th, through Sunday, July 29th. Normal operating hours will resume Monday, July 30th.
WILLIAMSON SKATE PARK CLOSURE
As the host facility for the Games of Texas skateboarding event, Williamson Skate Park will be closed to the public on Saturday, July 28th.
