With an appraised value of $4.849 million, Wallace Phillips has formally donated the 107-acre Phillips Event Center Golf Course located on Briarcrest Drive to the City of Bryan.
The City of Bryan Parks and Recreation Department invites you to celebrate the grand opening of Williamson Skate Park on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 10 AM. The recently completed skating facility is located in Williamson Park at 411 Williamson Drive, adjacent to Astin Recreational Area and Travis B. Bryan Municipal Golf Course.

Live demonstrations, give-a-ways, on-site vendors, and DJ Frito from Candy 95 will be a part of the celebration! For the event, attendees are asked to refrain from parking on residential streets. Parking will be available within walking distance at Astin Recreational Area or at Travis Park with a complimentary shuttle bus service.
Grindline Skateparks began construction of the 17,500-square foot concrete skate park on March 28, 2016, completing the project in January 2017. The state-of-the-art park offers two bowls, new LED lighting, and sits adjacent to new restroom facilities in Williamson Park. Design and construction costs totaled just under $986,000, coming in below the budgeted amount of $1.2 million in general fund dollars.
