Help Bryan win the Mayor’s Ring Off for the 15th year
Bryan Mayor Andrew Nelson will once again face off against College Station Mayor Karl Mooney in the Salvation Army’s annual Mayor’s Ring Off – a friendly competition to raise money to help provide essential services to those in need in our community.
This year’s competition will have each Mayor ringing the bell outside Walmart for one hour – this Saturday, Dec. 4, from noon to 1 p.m., to see who can collect the most donations. Mayor Nelson will be located at the Walmart on Briarcrest, while Mayor Mooney will be at the College Station Walmart.
The mayors of the cities of Bryan and College Station have participated in the Mayor’s Ring Off tradition for the last 14 years – and the City of Bryan has taken home bragging rights every single year. And, we hope this year is no different!
How to donate
You can help Bryan retain its bragging rights – and help those in our community who are most in need – in the following ways:
- Drop your spare change in the kettle at the Briarcrest Walmart on Saturday, Dec. 4, from noon to 1 p.m. Only donations made in the kettle during this time period will count toward Bryan’s total.
- Donate early on the Salvation Army’s website, https://give.salvationarmytexas.org/mayorringoffbryan
