Crews will remove the traffic signal equipment recently replaced as part of this ongoing CIP project.
The next phase of infrastructure improvements at the intersection of East Villa Maria Road (FM 1179) and Carter Creek Parkway includes the installation of new accessible sidewalks and curb ramps. Contractors will temporarily close the outside lanes along Villa Maria Road and Carter Creek Parkway between 9 AM and 4 PM on weekdays beginning Monday, September 25, 2017. These intermittent lane closures will continue over the next four to six weeks until this phase of construction is complete.
This contract was approved by the Bryan City Council on November 21, 2016. Brazos Paving Inc. (BPI) is the lead contractor. Once complete, this Capital Improvement Project (CIP) will provide not only improved traffic signal capabilities but also a new roadway surface, new pavement markings, and improved accessibility for pedestrians.
