Mindful Mornings Brings Meditative Coloring, Drawing to Mounce Library

Start your morning with an hour of coloring and meditative drawing designed to reduce stress and encourage a positive start to the day at the Clara B. Mounce Public Library in historic Downtown Bryan. Mindful Mornings, happening in the first week of each month, is a new coloring and meditative drawing program for residents and visitors ages 18 years and up. Coloring sheets and supplies will be provided and a librarian will be available to teach the basics of Zentangle-inspired drawing, a method that embraces a “one-stroke-at-a-time” philosophy.

WHAT: Mindful Mornings: Meditative Coloring & Drawing Program

WHEN:
Wednesday, October 3rd – 10 to 11 AM
Monday, November 5th – 10 to 11 AM
Wednesday, December 5th – 10 to 11 AM

WHERE: Clara B. Mounce Public Library – 201 E. 26th Street – 2nd Floor Meeting Room

Mindful Mornings is a come-and go styled program but participants are welcome to stay for the full hour. Participants who wish to work quietly or are seeking a low-stress place to meet new people and try new things are welcome. Quiet music will be played to encourage a calm, meditative environment.

This program is free and registration is not required. Coloring pages, paper, and colored pencils/pens will be provided. Please contact Kate Wimer, Reference and Adult Services Librarian, at 979-209-5600 for additional information.
