Mounce Library Hosts Audiobook Showcase Featuring Susan Ericksen August 19th


Professional Audiobook Narrator Susan EricksenDo you love listening to a story? Do audiobooks keep you company as you travel or as you work? Then join us for a rare treat on Saturday, August 19, 2017, as Clara B. Mounce Public Library hosts an audiobook showcase featuring the national award-winning narrator, Susan Ericksen. In her first visit to Bryan, Susan will share her experiences of bringing books to listeners and will also take questions from the audience. This showcase will also feature a presentation of new and forthcoming titles from audiobook publishers Penguin Random House and Recorded Books.

Susan Ericksen is a three-time Audie Award winning narrator who has recorded nearly 500 books, including the highly acclaimed “In Death” series by J.D. Robb, the V.I. Warshawski novels by Sara Paretsky, and Annie Dillard’s recent book, Abundance. The winner of multiple Earphone Awards for both fiction and non-fiction, Susan is also a classically trained actress and singer. She received her Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the Meadows School for the Arts at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and has performed in New York and regional theaters across the country. Susan is married to fellow audiobook narrator David Colacci.

From July 2016 through June 2017, almost 41,000 audiobooks were checked out from the Bryan+College Station Public Library System.
