Mounce Library Storytime Program for Babies, Toddlers, & Pre-schoolers Moves to Tuesdays

The Clara B. Mounce Public Library fall storytime program for babies, toddlers, and pre-school aged children begins Tuesday, September 11, with the Baby/Toddler Storytime at 10:15 AM and the Pre-school Age Children Storytime at 10:40 AM. Both storytimes will continue each Tuesday through December 11 and are free to attend.

    WHAT: Mounce Library Storytimes

WHEN: Tuesdays, September 11 through December 11
10:15 AM – Baby/Toddler Storytime (babies and toddlers)
10:40 AM – Get Ready to Read (pre-school aged children)

    WHERE: Clara B. Mounce Public Library – 201 E. 26th Street – Downtown Bryan

The Mounce Library preschool storytime program is designed to foster foundational early literacy skill development in vocabulary & conceptualization, narrative skills, phonological awareness, letter sound association and social skills. This is done through music and movement, puppets, storytelling, letter/sound fun, & simple craft activities to support a strong foundation for reading achievement. When literacy proficiencies are developed early on (from infancy through pre-school years), the child will most likely read at or above their reading level by 3rd grade.
