The Mounce Library preschool storytime program is designed to foster foundational early literacy skill development in vocabulary & conceptualization, narrative skills, phonological awareness, letter sound association and social skills. This is done through music and movement, puppets, storytelling, letter/sound fun, & simple craft activities to support a strong foundation for reading achievement. When literacy proficiencies are developed early on (from infancy through pre-school years), the child will most likely read at or above their reading level by 3rd grade.
