NNO Kickoff Event – September 20, 2018
Location – Target 3061 Wildflower Dr Time – 4:00pm – 7:00pm

Proclamation Signing – October 1, 2018
Location – Brazos County Annex Building – 200 S. Texas Ave Time – 3pm

Details of each below NNO Kickoff Event

Come join us Thursday, September 20, 2018, for the NATIONAL NIGHT OUT kickoff event. This event will take place in the parking lot of Target, located at the corner of Briarcrest Drive and Earl Rudder Freeway, 3061 Wildflower Dr. Activities will start at 4:00 p.m. and end at 7:00 p.m.

The Bryan Police Department, College Station Police Department, Texas A&M University Police Department, Brazos County Sheriff’s Office and other Law Enforcement Agencies will be joined by local fire departments and other organizations at this annual kickoff event. The kickoff is held in preparation for the actual NATIONAL NIGHT OUT event where we will provide citizens with an opportunity to sign up for their own neighborhood block party.

There will be plenty of fun and interesting activities at this family event:

  • All activities, and food and drinks are FREE to the general public
  • Vehicle displays from our local Police and Fire
  • Ka-boom with the Brazos Valley Bombers and bombers batting cages
  • Bryan Police Department’s SafetyPup
  • K9 Search and Rescue Group
  • BTU “Bucket truck rides”
  • Fingerprints and photographs for child identification

Proclamation Signing

There will be a proclamation signing for National Night Out on Monday October 1st at 3 p.m. at the Brazos County Annex Building, 200 South Texas Ave. in Bryan. The goal of the signing is to acknowledge the importance of National Night Out and encourage citizens to partner with law enforcement to fight crime.

National Night Out Event

The 2018 Annual National Night Out will be Tuesday, October 2, 2018. All residents are encouraged to step outside on this evening, meet their neighbors and visit with local law enforcement officers, who will be stopping at neighborhood block parties throughout the evening upon request. Block parties typically start after 5:00 pm and head into the evening hours.

If you are interested in organizing and hosting a ‘block party’ for your neighborhood in Bryan, please contact Sgt. Jason James with the Neighborhood Enforcement Team. Sgt. If you are interested in organizing and hosting a ‘block party’ for your neighborhood in College Station, please contact Sgt. Roy Shelton with the College Station Police Department. Sgt. If you are a Texas A&M University student on campus, the University Police Department along with the Department of Residence Life will be hosting community gatherings at Hullabaloo Hall, The Commons, and White Creek Community Center October 2, 2018, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

The goal of NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is to heighten awareness for crime and drug abuse prevention, to generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and to send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

The safety of our community does not have borders. It is the goal of every law enforcement agency to protect the citizens that we serve. Be the eyes and ears of your police department.
