Residents in south central areas of Bryan may see smoke emanating from various areas beginning the week of Sept. 20, as contractors with the City of Bryan perform smoke testing on sanitary sewer lines.
The City of Bryan is waiving fees for permits required for repairs related to winter storm damage at residential and commercial properties.
The following repairs qualify for waived permits:
- Plumbing: water line repairs from broken pipes
- Building: sheetrock repairs from water leaks and flooding
- Roofs: repairs needed as a result of tree or storm damage
- Electrical: repairs needed as a result of tree or storm damage
The permit fee waiver will be effective through Feb. 28, 2021. Work that is not related to storm damage repair does not qualify for waived permit fees.
Permits should be obtained before starting any construction. A list of construction work requiring permits can be found on the city’s website. Anyone with questions should call the Planning and Development Services Department at 979.209.5010.
