Road closure beginning Nov. 9: Woodville Road and Old Hearne Road intersection

Woodville Road and Old Hearne Road intersection detour map.

The Woodville Road and Old Hearne Road intersection will be completely closed to traffic starting Monday, Nov. 9, 2020 until further notice as part of a capital improvement project in the area. This project is part of the approved FY2018-FY2022 Capital Improvement Program.

This project includes construction of new water, sanitary, drainage, road and sidewalks along Woodville Road from the SH 6 Overpass to Old Hearne Road. These improvements will replace aging infrastructure and create a safer environment for vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians. This project will be completed in several phases with traffic control being revised and posted for each phase.

The current phase of the project closes the intersection of Woodville Road and Old Hearne Road completely for the construction of a roundabout at this intersection. No through traffic will be allowed.

Eastbound through traffic on Woodville Road will be detoured onto Creekwood and routed through the Northwood Subdivision to Laura Lane as the last leg of the detour. Westbound through traffic on Woodville Road will be detoured onto Laura Lane and routed through the Northwood Subdivision to Creekwood as the last leg of the detour.

Southbound through traffic on Old Hearne Road will be detoured onto Timberline and routed through the Northwood Subdivision to Laura Lane and onto Stevens as the last leg of the detour.  Northbound through traffic on Old Hearne Road will be detoured onto Stevens; then Laura Lane and routed through the Northwood Subdivision to Timberline as the las leg of the detour.  Please drive slowly through the area and obey all traffic signs and flagmen.
