With an appraised value of $4.849 million, Wallace Phillips has formally donated the 107-acre Phillips Event Center Golf Course located on Briarcrest Drive to the City of Bryan.
Join Bryan Mayor Andrew Nelson on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at the Bryan Super Walmart located at 2200 Briarcrest Drive for the Salvation Army’s annual Mayor’s Bell Ringing Challenge from 12 PM (noon) to 1 PM. In addition to the Mayor and fellow Bryan City Council Members, see a fire truck, a police vehicle, a Bryan Texas Utilities bucket truck, and meet two local celebrities, Kaboom and Friday, mascots for the Brazos Valley Bombers and Brazos Valley Cavalry sports teams.

Money from this annual holiday collection drive is used to provide food, clothing, shelter, toys, financial assistance, and counseling to Brazos Valley residents in need. If you are interested in contributing to the Salvation Army in Bryan during the challenge, you can place money in the red kettle at the entrance with Mayor Nelson or you can simply drive by and hand off your donation a fellow Bryan City Council Member.
